AmeriCorps program members will serve as tutors for reading and/or math for students in grades PK-7. As an AmeriCorps tutor you will be responsible for gaining an understanding of SOL’s and learning strategies to help students acquire the skills needed to succeed in reading and in math. 

 

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Works 900 hours (approximately 28 hours per week).

Compensation is a living stipend in the amount of $1,100 per month for 9 months.

At the conclusion of the school year and with successful completion of the 900 tutoring hours, individual will receive an award in the amount of $3,500.

 

AmeriCorps are service members, not employees of Patrick County Public Schools.

 

**Locations include Hardin Reynolds Memorial School, Meadows of Dan Elementary School, Patrick Springs Primary School, and Stuart Elementary School.**
